F Barnes are delighted to be working in partnership with St Francis Hospice in conjunction with their 'Make a Will' scheme.
St Francis Hospice is a wonderful charity close to our hearts and we are ever grateful for the services they provide for our community.
Their team of specialist consultants, doctors, nurses and a range of other health and social care professionals provide care and support to individuals with a life-limiting illness, as well as their carers and family members, completely free of charge.
The hospice relies solely on the donations given to the charity and requires over £7 million each year just to survive.
One of the main ways we can help from a legal perspective is to ensure that we assist with the gifting of Legacies through the preparation of a Will.
How does the 'Make a Will' scheme work?
The scheme provides for a Will to be prepared by ourselves, on your behalf, free of charge in return for a donation to be made directly to the Hospice.
No charge will be made by ourselves for the work we have completed for you to the hospice.
In order to qualify a donation of £200 is requested for a single straightforward Will and £300 for a couple who are making mirror Wills. There is no VAT added.
We can discuss with you the possibility of leaving a Pecuniary Legacy (fixed sum of money) or a Residual Gift to the Hospice if this is something that you wish to do but this is not necessary. The gift of a Legacy to a charity is just an option we can cater for if you would like this included in your Will.
