Jonathan Diamond
Jonathan qualified as a solicitor in 1986 and is a hugely experienced and approachable family lawyer. He is someone you want on your side when looking for family law advice, he is hands on and practical.
Jonathan joined F Barnes in 2023 having been a Partner and Head of Family Law at Wiseman Lee Solicitors since 1987.
Jonathan specialises in all aspects of family law, disputes involving children, money and property.
He is a Law Society Advanced Family Law Panel member, a trained collaborative lawyer and a Resolution accredited expert. He has also been appointed under the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation scheme as both a children and adult party representative. He is a past independent funding adjudicator for the Legal Aid Agency.
Jonathan became a Solicitor Advocate in 2013 specialising in care proceedings, having represented parents at contested final hearings and has appeared in High Court.
Being a solicitor advocate in civil proceedings, Jonathan is qualified to represent his own clients in court to include the Higher Courts. This gives his clients an advantage of knowing that Jonathan can represent them in court when he feels it is in their best interest to do so, rather than appointing a Barrister who does not know them as well as he does.
Jonathan’s numerous accreditations within the legal profession speak for themselves. He is always invested in the best outcome possible for his clients. Having been a family lawyer for over 35 years demonstrates his commitment to helping those in need with family legal issues.
Jonathan actively seeks to give something back to the community having been chair of a parenting charity Newham Home Start. His attitude towards giving something back to the community is something that mirrors F Barnes ethos.
In his spare time Jonathan likes to spend time with his family and travel.
